Engaging Students through The Sandburg Gardens
Serving as the Emerging Green Builders Campus Sustainability Coordinators, Ariel Gonzalez Millan and I are currently heading a group of students in developing designs for the UWM Food & Garden Club's Sandburg Gardens. The objective of the project is to engage students living in the dorms to utilize the gardening plots and expand awareness on sustainable, local food production. The plans are expected to be passed by UWM and constructed spring 2012.
